Creative Cooperation: Synergize (Habit 6)

"Synergize" is Habit 6 of "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People"; Stephen Covey's classic book on leadership.

"Synergy is the true test and manifestation of all of the other habits put together.” - Stephen Covey

To synergize means to come together with others to create something bigger than the sum of the parts. We create new possibilities – something that wasn’t there before.

It is a creative process, and creativity is chaotic and can be terrifying because it requires us to come out of our comfort zone in order to participate. This is the spirit of adventure, discovery, and creativity.

To synergize effectively means to create a new script, a new paradigm, based on service, contribution, and open and trusting giving rather than having a protective, adversarial, or selfish approach.

How will you participate in the discussion with the group?

Let's synergize together.

David will lead the discussion on Habit 6 with a presentation followed by a group discussion about our own experiences around working with others cooperatively and creatively. We will discuss ways to cultivate synergy so that we can create exponential possibility in our lives.

It's best if you read Habit 6 and come prepared to discuss this idea from the chapter.
