The Other Side of Your Comfort Zone

VISION – new skill – build the new muscle
COMMIT – make the promise to live into this extraordinary life
ACTION – getting uncomfortable in the unknown to create the new possibility

Most people are living a default life – you can predict where they’ll be in a few years by looking at how things have been going for them leading up to now.

In many cases, this is difficult for people to recognize due to the fact that they’ve been running on autopilot for so long.

This is why coaches prioritize empowering clients to challenge the status quo, or, in this case, the inertia of the default life.

If you ask people what they really want, most would not be able to tell you.

If you ask people what they really want, most would not be able to tell you. Heck, a lot of them wouldn’t even know where to start. Their limited vision for the future in 3 to 5 years is unchallenging and uninspiring.

That’s largely because we’ve never been trained in this skill. The muscle loses its chance to develop seeing as it takes both time and inspiration to get strong… and being able to invest in yourself in this way is something that many people don’t feel as though they are able to do.

But the status quo has an even deeper hindrance in our lives:

Culture, social groups, and family have such strong ties and influence on us that they become the hardest things to overcome.

Instead of facing these challenges, we turn to making excuses like–

“Who am I to not go along with everyone?”

Being able to step out of the roles that we have spent our entire lives setting up is an extremely difficult task. To turn off your autopilot and veer from the beaten path takes support and accountability.

Although it is uncomfortable to step out of these roles, it is precisely what you need to do to step into an extraordinary life.

Creating a vision for your life beyond what anyone else would think possible for you requires creative muscle building.

In my Essence Discovery Program, I emphasize how all new possibilities– everything we are able to create beyond the default life– are both unknown and outside of our comfort zone.

This makes these opportunities seemingly difficult to access seeing as our survival mechanism will immediately step in and try to stop us out of pure fear of the unknown.

When you are able to hone in on a sense of what you truly desire for yourself, when you are really committed to that vision, and committed to living an extraordinary life… you give yourself the permission and opportunity to step out time and time again.

You have proven to yourself that whatever happens when you step outside your comfort zone is definitely uncomfortable…

But also precisely where the magic happens.

Schedule a call with me and I’ll show you the path out of your comfort zone and into the infinite possibilities of the unknown.

I’m looking forward to it.
